November 22, 2023 - Thanks to the generosity of its staff, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children once again distributed Thanksgiving meals to 300 families in the North Philadelphia community on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. 

October 30, 2023 - Raising $150,000 to buy tens of thousands of books for patients at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children was the successful goal of the 10th annual Reach Out and Read charity basketball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023.

October 26, 2023 - St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is partnering with Mama-Tee Community Fridge to become the only community refrigerator in the country located on a children’s hospital campus.

October 2, 2023 - More than 14 million children across the U.S. are now diagnosable as obese – about 20% of all children in America. Ten percent of those are diagnosed as severely obese — that's 1.4 million children. The situation has become a public health crisis, and the effects of untreated obesity in children can have life-long, devastating health impacts.

September 29, 2023 - On September 28, 2023, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children hosted its 15th Annual Oncology Talent Show, featuring pediatric cancer patients performing for their families and hospital staff. The show’s timing coincides with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, observed each year in September.

September 29, 2023 -  Seven Tower Health employees received special awards as part of the system’s recognition of Advance Practice Providers Week. Those awarded have made a positive and lasting impact on their colleagues, patients, and the community.

September 25, 2023 - St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children’s Chronic Lung Disease program in its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Next Steps clinic has been accepted into the prestigious Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) Consortium.

September 23, 2023 - St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children employees recently donated four large bins of gently worn scrubs to benefit an international medical nonprofit.

September 18, 2023 - Tower Health announced today that Debra L. Powell, MD, MS, FIDSA, has been appointed to the role of Chair, Department of Medicine effective September 1, 2023. She has been serving as interim chair since September 2022.

August 18, 2023 - St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Drexel University, and Peirce College are working together to collaborate on academic programs that support career transition. Expanding access for adult learners interested in advancing their education also develops a more diverse pipeline of talent for regional employers.
