Our services are available to acute hospital inpatients, outpatients, and patients admitted to the transitional care and rehabilitation units.

You'll be first evaluated to determine muscle strength, joint motion, balance, coordination, and ability to perform typical activities of daily living such as:

  • Walking
  • Standing
  • Rolling

Patients are given a customized treatment program.

Your treatment program will be re-evaluated and modified with your progress. Physical therapy is often recommended by your doctor as a non-surgical treatment plan that's usually part of your post-operative care or post-injury rehabilitation.

Conditions physical therapy can help treat includes:

  • Degenerative disc disorders
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Sciatica
  • Sports and recreational injuries
  • Strokes and neurological disorders
  • Whiplash
  • Work-related injuries

We use a variety of treatment approaches, tailored to your individual needs and rehabilitation goals, including:

Zero G

This is a high-tech robotic system that assists patients with their recovery by providing body-weight support and fall protection using a harness and overhead trolley. This system allows patients to learn by making errors, sometimes by losing their balance and learning to recover without anyone else intervening. The Zero G allows for this to occur safely as well as provides the opportunity to make real-time program changes and adjustments while moving and standing. The system allows more freedom of movement for many types of patients, helping them to get up and start walking sooner after their injury.

LiteGait® System

A gait training device that simultaneously controls weight bearing, posture, and balance over a treadmill or over ground.

Guldmann Body Weight Support Systems

Promote normal gait sequencing in patients who lack trunk control or lower body strength.

Recumbent bicycle linked to a video game system.

MOTOmed Movement Therapy System

Motor and software assistance gently moves and loosens patient’s arms and legs from the comfort of a wheelchair or bed.
